Diversity and Accommodation

This course raises awareness and provides students with practical skills required to create inclusive learning environments, and deepen understanding of responsibilities surrounding learner accommodation. Course activities will contribute to the development of tools (e.g. practical strategies, policy) to effectively teach diverse learners, which may be incorporated into the applied project. The course includes a 6-hour applied project component. No prerequisite requirement but it is strongly recommended that students complete Adult Learners prior to enrolling.
